In the late hours of a Wednesday in August 2014, the life of 18-year-old Aundrea Garland was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on the east side of Detroit, Michigan. Aundrea, a young woman with a passion for singing and on the verge of her senior year of high school, was spending the night at a friend's house on Edmore Drive. She and her friends were on the front porch when a red Saturn pulled up, and a man armed with a high-powered weapon opened fire.
