Aundrea Garland, an 18-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost her life on August 27, 2014, in a shooting incident on the city's east side. Garland was spending the night at a friend's house on Edmore Drive when a red Saturn pulled up, and a man armed with a high-powered weapon opened fire. Garland was standing on the porch at the time and was fatally shot. Three other individuals, two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man, were also injured in the shooting.
