In the early hours of February 20, 2024, 11-year-old Lamara Glenn was sleeping on a couch during a sleepover at her aunt's home on Pennsylvania Street in Detroit, Michigan. A hail of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet as at least 23 shots were fired into the house in a drive-by shooting. Lamara was tragically struck in the head by one of the bullets.
