On April 10, 2000, the body of 20-year-old Robbin Brown, a young woman, was discovered in a railroad yard in southwest Detroit. She was one of three victims found that day, all of whom had been strangled and left in the area over the preceding month. The other victims were identified as 32-year-old Rose Marie Felt and 34-year-old Kelly Hood. All three women were known to engage in prostitution.
The investigation into these murders led authorities to John Eric Armstrong, a former sailor.
