In the early morning hours of September 9, 2015, the life of Keon Sterlan Rooks, a 34-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on the 11600 block of Stout in Detroit, Michigan. At approximately 2:35 a.m., Rooks was shot multiple times with a handgun. Detroit medics arrived at the scene, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
