Stanley Hays, aged 77, tragically lost his life on March 11, 1997, in Detroit, Michigan. The incident occurred during a violent bank robbery at a Comerica branch on Detroit's northeast side. The perpetrator, Allen Lane Griffin Jr., entered the bank and initiated a series of violent actions, including shooting the assistant branch manager and taking hostages.
