The perpetrator, Allen Lane Griffin Jr., entered the bank and initiated a series of violent actions, including shooting the assistant branch manager and taking hostages.
As Griffin exited the bank, Stanley Hays, unaware of the ongoing situation, approached the bank and was taken hostage by Griffin.
