Kelvin Wheeler Jr., a 34-year-old man, was shot and killed in Detroit, Michigan on the night of July 8, 2020. Wheeler, a beloved youth pastor and the dean of students at Triumph Middle School in Harper Woods, had just left his father's house and was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Livernois Avenue and Ewald Circle around 11:40 p.m. His girlfriend was in the passenger seat of his white Jeep Cherokee at the time of the incident.
