On a cold February evening in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the life of Mary Lou Nye, a 62-year-old woman, was tragically cut short in a series of random acts of violence that stunned the community. On February 20, 2016, Nye was one of six people killed in a shooting rampage that spread across the county.
