In the summer of 1972, Linda Clark, a 19-year-old female, and her friend, Claudia Bidstrup, also 19, were traveling from their homes in Chicago when they made a fateful stop in Kalamazoo, Michigan. On July 5th, the two young women pulled into a gas station where a 28-year-old attendant named Danny Ranes was working. What began as a routine stop for gasoline quickly descended into a nightmare.
