In the summer of 2023, the life of 30-year-old Christopher Michael Byrom Sr., a male resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the evening of the Fourth of July, while the sounds of fireworks filled the air, a celebration turned into a scene of violence. At approximately 10:20 p.m., gunfire erupted on Sycamore Street SE, and Byrom was fatally shot. The Kent County Medical Examiner would later confirm his death as a homicide.
