Demarcus Javon Brown, a 30-year-old resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was tragically shot and killed on the night of October 22, 2021. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highland Street SE and Cass Avenue SE. According to the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD), officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area and were informed that a man who had been shot was being taken to the hospital.
