On the evening of Friday, October 22, 2021, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 30-year-old Demarcus Javon Brown was shot in the 200 block of Highland Street SE. The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highland Street and Cass Avenue.
