In the quiet suburbs of Grand Rapids, a life was abruptly cut short on the evening of November 25, 2022. Dionte Lamarcus Sims, a 30-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the hallway of the CityLine Apartments in Kentwood. The incident, which occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Wichita Drive SE, brought a swift response from the Kentwood Police Department, but their efforts to save him were in vain; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
