Death by Force

On March 4, 2023, 22-year-old Jaquarrie Garrett was fatally shot at the Delta Hotel on 28th Street SE in Kentwood, Michigan. Garrett, who had recently returned to his hometown of Grand Rapids from Atlanta, was attending his young son's birthday celebration at the hotel. While walking from the pool area to the family's rented rooms, he was shot multiple times in a second-story hallway and pronounced dead at the scene.
