On a Tuesday morning in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 28-year-old Unique Camreil Evans was walking along a sidewalk in the Heritage Hill district when his life was tragically cut short. On December 22, 2020, at approximately 11:15 a.m., near the intersection of Prospect Avenue SE and Cherry Street SE, shots rang out, and Evans was fatally wounded. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
