On December 30, 2023, 29-year-old Adrian Gibbs was fatally shot at the Hyde Park K-Line Metro Station in Los Angeles, located at Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard. Gibbs sustained a gunshot wound to the back and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) launched an investigation and identified 24-year-old Dwight Panton as the primary suspect. Panton was apprehended on January 1, 2024, near 50th Street and ...
