In the early hours of May 12, 2016, an argument at a home on East Empire Avenue in Benton Harbor, Michigan, tragically cut short the life of 18-year-old Grady Manns Jr. A junior at Benton Harbor High School and a recent father, Manns was at the residence of 30-year-old Terrence Shelby Jr. when the fatal altercation occurred. A neighbor later reported hearing a gunshot around midnight near an alley behind the home.
