Bernd Phillippy, 55, was last seen on the afternoon of May 6, 2006, at his residence in the 800 block of West Hopkins Street in San Marcos, Texas. His roommate saw him asleep on the couch in the early afternoon. When the roommate returned to the home between 7:00 p.m., Phillippy was gone and has not been heard from since. Phillippy did not own a car at the time of his disappearance and left all of his personal belongings at his home.
Family members have stated that Phillippy was close with his children and do not believe he would have left voluntarily. At the time he went missing, he was described as a white male, 5'9" to 5'11" tall, and weighing around 145 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes, was balding, and was missing some of his front teeth. He wore eyeglasses and had scars on his hips from hip replacement surgery. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans, and sandals, and was carrying a backpack.
The Texas Department of Public Safety lists him as an endangered missing person. Few details have been made available in his case, which has remained unsolved for years.Last Seen: May 6, 2006
