Ontario Jermaine Courtney, a 40-year-old man, tragically lost his life on September 13, 2017, in the Broadway-Manchester area of South Los Angeles. According to reports, Courtney was sitting in a burgundy SUV with two other individuals around 4:30 a.m. when another vehicle approached. Someone inside the approaching car opened fire, striking Courtney multiple times. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers, who were nearby, heard the gunshots and immediately pursued the suspect vehicle.
