In the quiet woods of Butterfield Township, Michigan, a day of leisure turned into a scene of tragedy for Gerald Burgeson. On September 12, 2016, the 71-year-old man from Metamora, Michigan, lost his life in a hunting cabin accident. A Vietnam War Veteran, Gerald was known for his love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and sportsman. He co-owned the cabin with his 74-year-old cousin, Ronald Dunn of Livonia, and they frequently used it as a getaway for hunting.
