On a cold February evening in Lansing, Michigan, the life of 37-year-old Thomas Dewon George was tragically cut short. On February 4, 2017, George was found fatally shot in a vehicle on the city's south side, a victim of gun violence that would soon draw the attention of local law enforcement and the community. The initial investigation into the shooting began to piece together the events that led to his death, and before long, the focus of the inquiry turned toward two individuals.
