On June 7, 2023, 17-year-old Markii Jerrell Robinson was fatally shot in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The incident occurred around 3 PM near the intersection of Stockbridge Avenue and James Street. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire, and Robinson was found critically injured in a nearby alley with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting.
