In the early morning hours of Saturday, June 24, 2023, Kenneth Lee Woodard Jr., a 33-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. while Woodard, who had recently moved to Ohio and was in his hometown for a weekend visit, was driving near the intersection of North Burdick Street and Paterson Street.
