In the late hours of a Friday evening in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 42-year-old Traci Thurman was brought to a tragic and violent end. On September 9, 2022, a heated argument between Thurman and her 49-year-old boyfriend, Ian White, escalated with devastating consequences inside their apartment near 23rd Avenue and Dunlap. The dispute culminated in White fatally shooting Thurman multiple times.
Neighbors in the apartment complex were startled by the sound of gunfire and witnessed a
chilling scene unfold. After shooting Thurman, White walked out onto their balcony, brandishing a gun and shouting to onlookers that he was responsible for the shooting. He then retreated back into the apartment, and a final gunshot was heard. When Phoenix police officers arrived and entered the residence, they discovered both Thurman and White deceased from gunshot wounds.
