John Raymond Sougstad, a 57-year-old Caucasian man, died on September 24, 2021, in a violent encounter at his home in Windsor Township, a community near Lansing, Michigan. A respected figure in his community, known for his work in special education and psychology, his life was cut short in a triple homicide that also claimed the lives of his 65-year-old wife, Barbara Sougstad, and their 29-year-old son, Ryan Sougstad.
