Courtney Willis, a 26-year-old from Kentucky, was tragically killed on February 1, 2017, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. His body was discovered in the 3200 block of Eighth Street, having been shot nine times. The discovery was made by a family member in the breezeway of a home around 9 p.m. that evening. Shell casings were found both inside and outside the home, indicating a case of overkill, which police suggested might have been driven by highly emotional motives or a sense of betrayal.
