In the late summer of 2019, the life of 18-year-old Mervin Bonner II of Muskegon, Michigan, was tragically cut short just as a new chapter was about to begin. Known affectionately as 'Lil Merv,' he was filled with anticipation, preparing to start classes at Muskegon Community College the very next day.
