In the early morning hours of a late summer day, the life of 29-year-old Michael Stewart of Muskegon, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, September 1, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police responded to a call in the 3300 block of Hoyt Street in Muskegon Heights. There, they discovered Stewart inside a white Buick, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but Stewart succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Muskegon Heights Police Department, along with the Michigan State Police, immediately launched an investigation into the fatal shooting.
