On January 13, 2019, 17-year-old James King, a senior at East Kentwood High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was fatally shot during a marijuana transaction arranged via social media. The meeting took place in the parking lot of the Towne & Country Shopping Center, where King and his cousin had walked from his nearby residence. Upon arrival, King entered a vehicle occupied by several individuals. During the encounter, an attempted robbery ensued, culminating in King being shot once in the face. ...Read More
