A Black male, he had only recently, about a month prior, moved into a residence on the city's west side, a place that would unfortunately become the scene of his untimely death. The circumstances surrounding his passing were grim, as he was discovered deceased inside the home, the victim of a violent act that claimed two other lives as well.
Mark Paige was not the sole victim
of this horrific incident. He was found alongside Janea Fletcher, aged 32, and Quillion Ford, who was 33. The discovery of the three individuals inside the residence in the 4000 block of W. Boston prompted an immediate and intensive investigation by the Detroit Police Department. The nature of their deaths pointed to a triple homicide, a shocking event that left family members and the community grappling for answers that were not immediately forthcoming. The motive behind the killings remained elusive to investigators in the initial stages of their inquiry.
