Murray Upshaw, a 39-year-old visually impaired man from Detroit, Michigan, was tragically shot to death on May 6, 2017. The incident occurred at his family home located in the 8700 block of Epworth Street. Alongside Upshaw, a 27-year-old woman named Sharietta Jefferson was also fatally shot. The perpetrator of this heinous crime was identified as Upshaw's own son, Dante Louis Coker, also known as Dante Binion.
