On a Tuesday morning, the life of 24-year-old Jai-Shaun Isom, a Black male from Detroit, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On April 4, 2023, while on his way to work in the area of Schoolcraft and Virgil, Isom was fatally shot. The incident unfolded just outside his grandmother's home, a place that should have offered safety and comfort.
