On Christmas Eve of 2015, a quiet street in Brookhaven, Mississippi, became the scene of a tragic event that claimed the life of 22-year-old Julian Gayten. The young man was discovered shot at his residence on North Jackson Street and was pronounced dead at 7:18 a.m. His death was the result of a violent encounter that also led to the death of 17-year-old Jaquarius Jones, who was found collapsed on nearby Flora Street.
