In the autumn of 2015, a violent encounter in Brookhaven, Mississippi, led to the tragic death of 26-year-old Aquarius Nelson. On November 2nd, Nelson was fatally shot at a residence on Walnut Street. The man responsible for the shooting, Cordarryl Bell, claimed he acted in self-defense, asserting that Nelson and another individual were there to harm him in retaliation for a prior altercation.
