In the early evening of a fall day in Brookhaven, Mississippi, the life of 17-year-old Tarrion Thomas was cut tragically short. On October 23, 2021, the young black male became a victim of gun violence in what police would investigate as a homicide. His body was discovered on the carport of a home located at 100 Cherry Street, a detail that painted a grim picture of the final moments of his life. The Lincoln County Deputy Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene at 7:59 p.m.
