On September 29, 2018, Corporal Walter Zachery Moak, age 31, of the Brookhaven Police Department in Mississippi, tragically lost his life in the line of duty. Corporal Moak, along with Patrolman James White, responded to a report of shots fired at a residence on North Sixth Street in Brookhaven.
