On July 1, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Brookhaven, Mississippi, resulting in the deaths of Ladarius Rockingham, age 30, his sister Shanecia Ferdinand, age 28, and her unborn child. The shooting took place at apartments behind Brookhaven Glass on South Railroad Avenue, with police responding to reports of gunshots at approximately 10:56 p.m.
