Known affectionately as 'Pinky' to her friends and family, Sabrina was a mother to six children, including a set of twins, and a grandmother to nine. Her life, however, was not without its struggles, as she was battling a drug addiction, a demon she could not seem to shake.
In the hours leading up to her death, she was in the area of 16th and Stone Alley, a place where she was known to frequent.
The attack on Sabrina was particularly brutal. She was shot a total of nine times, with wounds to her head and chest, in what investigators described as an 'overkill.' The sheer violence of the act suggested a personal motive, leading police to believe the killer was likely someone she knew who wanted to ensure she could not share some information. The numerous shell casings found at the scene painted a grim picture of her final moments in the cold alley. Her death marked the 65th homicide in Louisville that year, contributing to a growing sense of unease within the community about the rising violence.
