In the summer of 2018, the life of 40-year-old Nachan Nacole Henderson, a mother of eight, was tragically cut short in a brazen drive-by shooting in Louisville, Kentucky. On the afternoon of Thursday, July 12th, Henderson was a passenger in a white Chevrolet, traveling near the intersection of Ninth and Breckinridge Streets. It was just after she had left her home, having spoken to her children only moments before, with the intention of paying her electric bill with a friend.
Suddenly, the vehicle she was in was sprayed with a barrage of bullets, the doors and windows riddled with dozens of shots.
The car, carrying Henderson and a male driver, continued to move forward after the shooting until it struck a utility pole.
