Death by Force

On July 25, 2023, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Southeast Division responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of San Pedro and West 87th streets in South Los Angeles. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Waldemar Napoleon Lucero lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt assistance from Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, Lucero was pronounced dead at the scene.
