In the spring of 2017, the life of Jerry Timothy Hudson, a 46-year-old White/Caucasian male, was abruptly ended. On the evening of May 15, first responders were called to a scene in southwest Oklahoma City where they discovered Hudson lying in the roadway. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The circumstances leading to the shooting were not immediately clear, but the investigation into his death quickly moved forward.
Authorities began to piece together the events of that tragic day, seeking to understand what had transpired in the moments before Hudson was killed. The case was classified as a homicide, prompting a search for those responsible.
Within a couple of days, the investigation led to a significant development. A suspect, identified as Jose Reyes Mascoto, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Mascoto was subsequently jailed as the legal process began to unfold, leaving a family and community to mourn the loss of a man described as having a good heart and a love for fixing old cars.
