On November 5, 2012, Cody Davis, 21, was shot and killed in the parking lot of an apartment complex near NW 26th Street and N. Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City. Investigators determined that the fatal shooting was the result of a drug deal that escalated into violence. Davis was found in his vehicle, and despite efforts to apprehend those responsible, it took several years before significant progress was made in the case.
