On what should have been a festive Memorial Day, May 29, 2006, a day of celebration turned into a scene of tragedy at South Shore Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Seventeen-year-old Julio Diaz-Guillen, a young man known for his willingness to lend a hand, had spent the morning at his new yard-work job before joining friends for a birthday picnic in the park.
