In the early morning hours of June 23, 2026, the vibrant nightlife of Milwaukee's Lower East Side was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Near the intersection of Van Buren and Pleasant streets, just a stone's throw from the bustling bar scene of Brady Street, 27-year-old Marquez Banyard was sitting in a car with two friends when a hail of bullets pierced the vehicle.
