In the quiet afternoon of July 23, 2023, tragedy struck on a Milwaukee north side street, forever altering the lives of one family. Al Shack, a 37-year-old Black man, was shot in the neighborhood near 37th and Townsend at approximately 2:30 p.m. The sudden violence of the act left the community shaken and a family grieving an unexpected loss.
