Major Milan was a 49-year-old man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, whose race was listed as Black in public booking records, and he was shot and killed on the evening of November 25, 2025, near the intersection of North 35th Street and West Galena Street. Police were called to the area at approximately 5:58 p.m. for a report of a shooting and arrived to find Milan suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by responding authorities, and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office later formally identified him as the victim. Local gun-violence databases recorded his death as a homicide by firearm, adding his name to a growing list of shooting victims in the city and inviting the public to light virtual candles and share memories in his honor.
Investigators have said little publicly about what led up to the gunfire that took Milan's life. Milwaukee Police have stated that they are still working to reconstruct the circumstances of the shooting and, as of the most recent reporting in late November 2025, no arrests had been made in connection with his killing. On the same night, a separate shooting several hours later near North 52nd Street and West Lloyd Street claimed the life of 27-year-old Austin Hanson, and police have said they have not established any link between that case and the attack that killed Milan.
