In the Shawnee neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a young man's life was cut short on a Friday afternoon. Toreze Lamont Bland, known to his loved ones as 'Red,' was shot and killed on December 11, 2015. The 22-year-old Black male was gunned down in front of an apartment building on Elliott Avenue, between 43rd and 44th Streets, a place his father said he didn't even live, leaving his family to wonder why he was lured to that location.
