Summary based on 4 sources
On a summer day in Louisville, Kentucky, a young man's life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. Aron Snorden, a 22-year-old Black/African American male, was at the Triple Crown Car Wash on August 14, 2021, when he was fatally shot multiple times in the head. The brazen attack was carried out by Kevin Thompson, who had arrived at the car wash with a female companion, Dakaisha West. After shooting Snorden, Thompson proceeded to rob his body before the pair fled the scene.

The investigation into Aron Snorden's murder led authorities to Thompson and West, who had left the state in an attempt to evade capture. It was discovered that West had assisted Thompson in disposing of the clothing he wore during the commission of the crime. Their efforts to escape justice were ultimately unsuccessful, as both individuals were later apprehended and brought back to Kentucky to face charges for their roles in the murder and robbery of Aron Snorden.

In the ensuing legal proceedings, Kevin Thompson pleaded guilty to charges of murder and first-degree robbery. For the murder charge, the Commonwealth recommended a 36-year prison sentence, with a concurrent 20-year sentence for the robbery charge. Under the terms of his plea, Thompson is required to serve a minimum of 20 years before the possibility of parole. Dakaisha West pleaded guilty to criminal facilitation to murder, criminal facilitation to first-degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence. For her involvement, the Commonwealth recommended a five-year prison sentence for each charge, to be served concurrently.
