In the early morning hours of Friday, March 20, 2026, a shooting inside a home in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood left one man dead and his twin brother wounded. Responding to a call around 5:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrived at the 700 block of Caldwell Street to find two men with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
One of the victims, 27-year-old Remon Allen, succumbed to his injuries and was
pronounced dead at the hospital. His identical twin brother, Ravon Allen, was also critically injured in the incident. The family, including the twins' mother who traveled from Alabama, is now grieving their loss and hoping for Ravon's recovery while seeking answers in this tragedy.
