In the early evening of a summer day in Louisville, Kentucky, tragedy struck in the Chickasaw neighborhood. On July 19, 2025, 16-year-old Airean Carr, a Black male, was fatally shot in the 1000 block of South 45th Street, near Flaget Field Park.
