In the heart of Kansas City, Kansas, a life full of promise was tragically cut short on the evening of November 4, 2016. Antonio Rucker Jr., a one-year-old Black male, was with his mother in her car, parked outside a Little Caesars pizza shop near 75th and State Avenue. The ordinary Friday night took a devastating turn in an instant. While his father was inside the restaurant, a single gunshot pierced the calm, striking the young boy.
