On the night of November 7, 2016, a 34-year-old man, Jeffery C. Wing, was found inside a vehicle in the 3100 block of Minnesota Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. He had been shot and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m.
Jeffery, known to be a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, was also a member of the Envied Car Club and an artist with a passion for drawing and tattooing.
His untimely death left behind a loving family, including his parents, daughter, and his girlfriend with their young son. He was remembered by friends and family for his humor and his willingness to always help others.
In the days following the shooting, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department identified Wing as the victim and appealed to the public for any information regarding the homicide.
